Check out some new traditions you can incorporate into your wedding here!
I enjoyed exploring Central Park with Kristen and Greg about a month ago with the GORGEOUS fall weather in New York City. Kristen and I were worried about the weather all week, but then we had a PERFECT day to shoot! Praise God!
Even though Kristen was worried that she would hurt Greg when she got on his back, I think it ended up producing some of the best moments from the shoot :) (and I’m sure you didn’t hurt him at all!)
We asked the front desk man if we could shoot in front of the window, and he said it was fine. Within 30 seconds, a security man rushed over and told us the manager of the building was coming downstairs… I’m glad that we were able to get the above frame!
New York City has the best skyline…
Kristen & Greg, thanks for running around the city with me! I hope you had as much fun as I did!
Oh my goodness. Sergey and Lily’s little baby girl is SO precious! God has blessed them so much!
With her momma…
…and peeking past dad
Amber’s mom and my mom were best friends in high school; therefore, I sort of grew up with Amber. It’s crazy to believe that she’s a married woman now, but I know that Tommy is the man she is supposed to grow old with. Debbie (Amber’s mom) took me back to the airport to catch my flight after the wedding and reminisced about the first time Tommy came to visit Amber in Muskegon. She giggled as she spoke about how nervous and timid Tommy first was…which shocked me because Tommy seemed completely at ease the entire wedding day.
Anyone can see that Tommy and Amber bring out the best in each other.
There were a few bumps along the way on the wedding day, but I totally LOVE brides like Amber who are so RELAXED and just let little things roll off their back.
Seconds before the first look…
I love each of these moments.
Mmm I’m in love with the above and below photos. They seriously had one of the best fall days of October.
A minute to breathe before the ceremony…
The pastor had each of them write 10 things they loved about each other, and neither of them was allowed to see the list until the ceremony. They both wrote “good kisser.” Everyone laughed.
Instead of just clanging silverware and crystal, guest couples had to demonstrate a particular type of kiss, which Amber and Tommy had to mimic. I have to admit, the game was pretty funny…especially with most of the contestants being older guests!
Weddings are a tad bit exhausting!
Tommy’s sister came up and clung to him while he and Amber were having their first dance. Pretty adorable!
Mom and daughter :)
Tommy & Amber, thanks for inviting me to capture such special memories on your wedding day. Best wishes to your marriage!
Mel and I met a few years ago at the annual Phi Sigma Pi National Convention in Nashville, TN. I remember hearing all about her boyfriend and how wonderful he was…fast forward a couple years and they are engaged!
Mmm beautiful light!
We had a killer sky…lucky me!
Mel and Josiah took me on quite the walking tour around Brooklyn and lower Manhattan…I mean, I had blisters and couldn’t wear my flats for several days! On the way to the Seaport, I saw this really swanky furniture store, Duval Imports. I asked the owner if we could take some pictures. Not only were they more than happy to accommodate us, but they even offered to close the store down!
I’m obsessed with the above moment and frame. You two are ADORABLE!
It only took me about 50 frames to focus them between the rushing water ;)
Can’t wait to see you two again in March for the big day!
Heather and Jeff are ADORABLE together. They wanted a NYC-esque shoot, so we spent some time at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and in a couple of subway stations.
Heather and Jeff met through the Syracuse University frisbee club…
This tree was UNREAL!
Love this shot.
You can just tell how HAPPY Jeff makes Heather…and vice versa. :)
Heather and Jeff, thanks for being patient and waiting for these shots while I moved to Charlotte. Can’t wait for your wedding next October!
